Soul Brothers lead singer David Masondo dies at age 67 in Johannesburg on Sunday 5th July 2015.

The passing of our esteemed artist and friend David Masondo devastates Gallo Record Companies management and staff.

David Masondo (born in Hammersdale, Durban in 1950) was the co front man and music craftsman to the Soul Brother Group. After more than 3 decades of recording and releasing music in the Traditional Umbaqanga genre and a major contribution to the South African Music Industry, David Masondo also contributed to the huge success of the Soul Brothers brand.  The Soul Brothers have released over 35 albums under the Gallo umbrella with a number of hit songs and albums as well as a fantastic selection of live-recorded DVDs and music videos.
